Beyoncé has reportedly made a very loud statement by startling her husband Jay-Z with a private jet for his first Father’s Day.

According to celebrity site Mediatakeout.com, the 30-year-old singer went all out and got her other half a brand new Bombardier Challenger 850.The jet, which will apparently set you back $40million (£25m), features a living room, a kitchen, a bedroom as well as two full bathrooms. The luxury plane is also capable of accommodating 15-19 passengers, which will be great for trips with their extended family.

The extravagant gift comes just months after she gave him a $500K blue sapphire birthing ring for being supportive all through her pregnancy.

The power couples were recently spotted backstage at a Coldplay concert in Manchester.

They were out showing their support for the rapper’s protégée, Rita Ora, who is supporting Chris Martin and co.

Prophet Obadare Timothy Oluwole dies at 83

Renowed world evangelist and founder of the World Soul Winning Evangelical Ministry (WOSEM), Prophet Timothy Oluwole Obadare, of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) worldwide is dead.

The clergyman died on Thursday in his residence, No 65-67, Adinlewa Street, Akure at the age of 83.

Obadare, who was said to have been ill for sometime now was said to have died of illness related to old age.

Confirming the development, one of the sons of the deceased, Joseph, said his father died in the afternoon of Thursday. He, however, said further details about the death of the man of God would be made known by the eldest son of the deceased who was said to be on his way back to Nigeria from the United States of America. The young Obadare said, “it is a fact that Baba has passed unto glory but I am not in a position to give details of the development. When my brother comes back, he will give the necessary information as he is in the best position to talk”.

He, however, described Obadare as a man of God that would be missed by everybody.

When Nigerian Tribune visited the residence located in the heart of the town, church members, relatives and people from the vicinity were seen trooping into the compound to confirm the news and symphatise with the family.

The Ondo State governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, described Obadare’s death as a march of the saint. Mimiko, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Eni Akinsola, said Obadare’s life, ministry and influence can be likened to those of the saints, rare and uncommon.”

Obadare, who started his eventful ministerial work in 1952 with the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), established WOSEM in 1974 with headquarters in Akure. He used the platform of WOSEM to win many souls for the Lord as he embarked on series of open air crusade as well as television ministration. His ministry was marked with many signs and wonders. With a strong passion for soul winning, he also established branches of WOSEM in many parts of the country as well as Europe and the Americas.

However, it was WOSEM, which brought him into national and international prominence, that also brought him in collision with the authorities of CAC, where he was the General Evangelist.

I mean, this dude ditched the music scene for YEARS, and then came out of nowhere with a song that went against everything on the charts and still managed to SMACK that strawberry bubblegum like he never left.

Skeptics Sound the Alarm Over Google Glass

Advertising and Internet search giant Google is set to roll out the much-hyped Google Glass. If you haven’t heard about Google Glass yet, you will.

The futuristic frames will allow the wearer to, among other things, record your image and your conversations without your permission. Sure, anyone can surreptitiously record or videotape you by using their smart phones, but Google Glass puts this technology literally in your face.

Conspiracy theorists and alarmists are already comparing Google Glass to the ultra spy technology that George Orwell foretold in his classic book 1984 (published in 1949).

The Google Glass wearer can videotape you and, in the blink of an eye, upload the footage to Instagram or Facebook.

Maybe it’s the fear of losing the last remaining vestiges of privacy we have left that’s spurring intense public opposition to the ‘Glass’.

Some business owners have already posted signs banning the ‘Glass’ from their establishments before the digital frames have even hit retail stores.

“They argue, rightly, that this is more than just a question of privacy,” writesTelegraph.UK, a British newspaper.

“You can see the marketing already – Glass is all-knowing. The issue is that to be all-knowing, it needs you to help it be all-seeing. If choice is an illusion created between those with power and those without, then Google Glass goes to the heart of what it is to live in a digital world and what it is to exercise choice about your privacy.”

Ashanti’s album set for June (says Amazon, but that’s very unlikely)…

Ashanti hasn’t announced a release date for her serially delayed new album ‘Braveheart’, but music’s biggest online retailerAmazon keeps re-listing when they will have it on sale. Will it EVER come out?

They will stock 15 copies of ‘Braveheart’ on June 4th, 20 months after she released the album’s lead single, the Busta Rhymes-assisted ‘The Woman You Love’ on December 15th 2011. All we ever get from Ashanti these days are Instagram photos of herself in the studio “crafting a hit record” in a desperate bid to convince fans that the album really is dropping this year (it won’t). She’s currently throwing herself into promoting her recurring new role in Lifetime’s series‘Army Wives’. She looks beautiful in the ‘Army Wives’ promo and at least fans have something to look forward to, even if it’s not music:
